GRAPE VARIETIES – 100% Glera
PRODUCTION AREA – Valdobbiadene.
TERRAIN AND ALTIDUDE – Limestone, sandy and rocky, from 200 to 250m altitude.
TYPE OF VITICULTURE – 2 methods, spinning and Guyot.
HARVEST – End of September, according to the decision of the “consorzio”.
VINIFICATION – Autoclave “charmat” method.
REFINING – 30 to 40 days in the bottle after bottling.
COLOR – Straw yellow.
PARFUMS – Slightly floral with notes of white flowers (acacia and wisteria) and fruits such as apple, pear and white peach. In vintages produced without sulfites, the dominant notes are ripe fruit such as pear and apple.
FLAVOR – Absolutely dry, but just as velvety and round, the minerality of Valdobbiadene’s soils shines through.
SERVING TEMPERATURE – 8°C.
ALCOHOLIC STRENGTH – 11.5%
WINE AND FOOD Pairings – The absence of sugars makes this wine particularly well-suited to accompany oily fish, shellfish and crustaceans.
