VARIETY – Montepulciano 100%
AREA OF PRODUCTION – Vineyards situated on the hills of Casalbordino with exposure to the south.
SOIL – ALTITUDE – Medium mixture, tendentially clayey at 150 – 200 m above sea level.
VITICULTURE – Espalier with a density of 3800 – 4500 plants with a production of 7 tons/ha in grapes with a yield in wine of hl 45 per hectare.
HARVEST – Following the first week in October reaching full phenolic maturity selecting the best grapes.
VINIFICATION – Removal of grape stalks and contact of the skins with the must for about 20 days in small steel fermenters at a temperature of 28 °C with periodic “delestages” and repassing of must over the grape dregs.
AGEING – CONSERVATION – Ageing in barrique for 12-15 months with further refinement in bottles for three months before being placed on the market. Store in a cool place at a temperature of about 8 °C.
COLOUR – Intense ruby red, brilliant with violet reflections.
SCENTS – Fragrant and fruity, persistent and intense with clear notes of spices, liquorice and vanilla.
TASTE – Balanced, full, warm and an embracing good body, it expresses itself with a good intensity and pleasant persistent lingering taste.
SERVE – 18-20 °C, we suggest to open the bottle 1 hour before serving.
